S.M.S. Eighth Grade Supply List (2008-2009 School Year)

The eighth grade teachers require that each student carry a pencil pouch or box to every class.  This pouch should contain the following at all times:

Pencils, black or blue pens, red pens, highlighters, a pencil sharpener, and colored pencils, or crayons.

The following is also needed:

(This year we are attempting to cut down the amount of supplies needed by going to 1 large binder instead of 5 smaller binders.)

1 “D” ring binder (3” or larger) to be brought to all classes and used for all subjects

4 packs of loose leaf paper- two packs each (wide ruled and college ruled)

4 Composition notebooks

2 pack of glue sticks

18 tabbed dividers

1 pack of Graph paper

1 calculator ( must be a 4-function)

2 3-prong folder without pockets (purple)

1 student dictionary for binder (3 hole notebook style) available in school library for $5.00

1 50 sheet pack construction paper

2 AAA batteries

2 packs of colored copier paper (multicolored pack)

We have broken this down by subject so that students will know what they need for each class.  THIS IS NOT in addition to the above mentioned list of items.

Story of My Life by Helen Keller

Those books will be available at registration.
